With the 1st trimester over, here comes the 2nd trimester. Somehow i felt more tired during this trimester than the last. Werid though cos usually one tends to feel tired during the 1st trimester.
A detailed scan was being scheduled on 9 June 2006. We had to go to the Medical Centre below Prof Chen clinic for the scan as his clinic does not have the machine.
Once we were inside the a small dark room, the nurse told me to relax and applied some kinda of gel for the scan. Nurse commented that baby is very active inside tummy. About 5 mins into the scan, the nurse asked if we wanna know the gender of the baby...and before we could reply, she said "You are having a boy" and on top of that she made a comment "Look, your baby is playing with his balls!!". Baby was way too active, she had to ask baby to cooperate with her to enable her to take the necessary measurements. I couldnt really see the screen and Jimmy was the one who had the luxury to see our little one "jumping" around in my tummy. The full test took around 30-45 mins after which we had to wait for the printouts of the scan and go back to Prof Chen for assessment. There goes another 2 1/2 hrs of wait before we could see Prof Chen and within 5 mins we were out of his room!
We did some shopping. Bought a playpen, mattress, bedsheets, stoller, car seat, some clothings etc..Its seems like there's neverending to the Buy list...cos there were still so many things to buy even having purchased the so-called crucial stuff already.....the shopping for baby stuff continues......
